Introducing New Features and Updates to Your Solix Suite Experience!
We are pleased to announce the latest release of the Solix Platform, featuring major new capabilities, platform updates, and important bug fixes to enhance reliability, usability, and performance.
Release Information:
New Features
Role Management:
- Role-based access now supported.
- Admins can create/manage custom roles.
- Dedicated Role Management page added.
Zone Duration: Enhanced visibility in Tag Positioning History.
Beacon Support: Full integration including:
- Sensor data
- Configuration
- Location tracking
- History view
Notification Rules: New Buffer option for smarter event handling.
Real-Time APIs: Three new WebSocket APIs with Swagger documentation:
- AoA Gateway Packets
- RSSI Gateway Packets
- Solix Positioning Engine Packets
Updates & Enhancements
We’ve upgraded existing features and workflows for smoother operations:
API Improvements: Better status codes, error handling, and image deployment via Swagger.
Device Addition Reports: Now shows tables of successful, failed, and invalid devices.
Regions & Zones:
- Corners displayed in modal format with copy option.
- Zones can now be deleted directly (no page reload needed).
Roles & Permissions:
- Add New Role Page updated with beacon, sensor, and positioning permissions.
- Users can no longer change device type (re-add required for hardware changes).
User Management:
- Users page now shows role info.
- Add New User page supports system & custom role assignment.
- Logged-in user’s role shown in top navigation bar.
UI & Labels:
- “Online/Offline” → Scannable/Unscannable.
- Drop-downs (tag MAC, buildings, floors) now consistent.
- Zone colors and labels updated by technology.
Rules Management: Enhanced Add New Rule page with detailed view.
Gateway Summary:
- Added history button with updated timestamps.
- Moved gateway height & calibrated RSSI edits to Device Edit page.
Device Customization:
- Serial numbers fully customizable (no “S” prefix needed).
- Default values updated (height, RSSI) for more accurate deployment.
Sensor History Pages:
- Battery Chart defaults to per day.
- Pressure & Acceleration Charts default to per hour.
- Gateway sensor charts default to per hour.
Add/Edit Device Page:
- Auto-detects zone based on deployment.
- Device drop-down filters dynamically by technology.
- Improved UI with inline tooltips for easier setup.
Bug Fixes
We’ve resolved multiple issues to make Solix more stable and user-friendly:
Notification Rules: Deleting a rule now also removes its device binding.
Tag Configuration:
- EU/ET drop-downs now correctly linked to input fields.
- CSV re-upload works as expected.
- euTX and etTX input boxes properly enabled/disabled.
API Stability: Fixed response issues for device deletion and addition.
Error Handling: Improved error messages for adding new gateways/tags.
Gateway Summary:
- Fixed uptime vs ping time inconsistency.
- Properly differentiates between “NA” values and their units.
Gateway Health History: Page title updated.
Dashboard & Live Map: Fixed VOC unit.
Heatmap: Drop-down bug (tag MAC removal) resolved, and styling improved.
Edit Device: Fixed beacon position editing.
History Pages: “Load More” button no longer appears on first load when no additional records exist.
