The PINIX TEK-1 is a Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) 5.x wearable and lanyard beacon designed for reliable real-time person positioning, emergency response, and location monitoring across healthcare, retail, exhibition, activity-tracking, and high-security environments. Powered by the Nordic nRF52 chipset, it supports multiple BLE advertising protocols and features a lightweight, portable design with a replaceable CR2032 battery. The TEK-1 enables efficient indoor positioning and real-time visibility for person monitoring and safety applications.

How It Works?
The PINIX TEK-1 broadcasts Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) signals using iBeacon, Eddystone, and S-Beacon advertising protocols. These signals are detected by Sentrax BLE RSSI gateways, enabling reliable indoor positioning and real-time location monitoring. The TEK-1 supports a wide range of applications, including person tracking, emergency response, activity monitoring, and proximity-based retail promotions.

With the Sentrax Device Manager (SDM) Application user can scan for nearby configurable PINIX beacons, view their battery status and modify the settings. The configuration of beacons is a password protected with a four (4) digit user settable PIN. s an added safety feature, the beacons can only be configured within a period of 15 minutes after installing the batteries or can be manually triggered into configuration mode by pressing the reset button on the Tag. However, this time duration can be increased through the settings to up to 3 weeks or forever. |
