Solix Features

Interactive Dashboard

A smart, intuitive platform for managing your RTLS network. Monitor gateways, beacons, and tags in real time, view live maps and heatmaps, and track performance across buildings and floors, all from one interactive dashboard.

Live Tracking

Solix uses RTLS Engine which determines the location of the tag by using a system of Gateways. The platform would display their positions on a map or a layout of the area being monitored.

Heat Map

Solix uses API which determines the heatmap location of the tags. The platform displays their positions on a map by visually representing tags position history.

Device Deployment

In Solix, devices are deployed through the Infrastructure → Devices workflow, where gateways and beacons can be added to specific buildings, floors, and zones. Using the interactive floor map and device deployment tool, users can easily position devices, set parameters like gateway height, and ensure accurate tracking.

Notifications & Alerts

SOLIX delivers real-time alerts on device activity, geofence events, motion, tampering, and environmental changes. Configurable rules trigger instant notifications via dashboard, SMS, or email keeping users informed and responsive.

Technical FAQs

What is the SOLIX RTLS & IoT Management Platform?
SOLIX is Sentrax’s centralized RTLS and IoT management platform for tracking assets and people, monitoring environmental conditions, and managing connected RTLS devices. It brings live location data, sensor information, device status, maps, alerts, and historical information together in a web-based interface.
Which positioning technologies does SOLIX support?
SOLIX supports BLE RSSI, BLE Angle of Arrival (AoA), and hybrid RSSI + AoA positioning. This allows a deployment to combine different levels of location accuracy according to the requirements of each area. Depending on the infrastructure and positioning method used, the system can provide zone-, room-, or meter-level positioning.
Can RSSI and AoA be used together in the same SOLIX deployment?
Yes. SOLIX supports hybrid deployments in which RSSI can be used in areas that require proximity or room-level visibility, while AoA can be used where more precise positioning is required. Zones can be configured according to the positioning technology used in each part of the facility.
Is SOLIX available in the cloud and on premises?
Yes. SOLIX can be deployed as a cloud-hosted platform or within the customer’s on-premises infrastructure. This gives organizations flexibility to select an architecture based on their IT environment, data-control requirements, and deployment strategy. The current product page also identifies Docker-based on-premises deployment.
What components are required for a SOLIX RTLS system?
A typical system consists of BLE tags or beacons, ZENIX scanners/gateways, and the SOLIX platform. For AoA deployments, the positioning architecture also includes the AoA positioning engine. The exact hardware configuration depends on the required coverage, positioning accuracy, facility layout, and use case.
Can SOLIX display assets and people on a floor map?
Yes. SOLIX supports user-defined 2D floor maps and GeoJSON maps and can display the live positions of tracked tags on the relevant facility layout. Gateways and other infrastructure devices can also be positioned on the map to simplify system deployment and monitoring.
Can SOLIX manage multiple buildings, regions, floors, and zones?
Yes. Facilities can be structured into regions and zones, so organizations can organize location data according to their operational layout. Zones can also be configured for different positioning technologies and deployment models, including RSSI and AoA environments.
What types of alerts can SOLIX generate?
SOLIX supports configurable alerts for operational and device events. These include geofence entry or exit, low battery, device online/offline status, proximity detection, leashed-pair separation, memory/storage conditions, and time-based events. The platform can also support alerts relating to motion, tampering, and environmental changes when the required devices and sensors are used.
Does SOLIX support environmental monitoring?
Yes. SOLIX can collect and visualize environmental data from compatible Sentrax sensors, tags, and gateways. Depending on the connected hardware, organizations can monitor parameters such as temperature, humidity, air quality, pressure, and other climatic measurements, alongside location information.
Can historical location and sensor data be viewed in SOLIX?
Yes. SOLIX supports historical device, positioning, and sensor information for operational analysis and reporting. Users can review device information, location history, status, sensor readings, deployment details, and timestamps. Heat maps can also use historical location information to show movement patterns, dwell behaviour, and areas with higher tag activity.
Does SOLIX provide heat-map visualization?
Yes. SOLIX can generate heat-map views from historical positioning data. These visualizations help organizations identify frequently used areas, movement patterns, asset activity, and space-utilization trends across a facility.
Can SOLIX integrate with existing enterprise software?
Yes. SOLIX supports integration through REST APIs, MQTT-based data exchange, and other integration options available within the selected solution. The platform is designed to connect RTLS information with systems such as ERP, HIS, BMS, security, and other enterprise applications. The current product page also lists iFrame-based integration for embedding SOLIX views into other applications.
Can devices be configured remotely through SOLIX?
Yes. Supported SOLIX configurations provide centralized device management and remote configuration capabilities. Depending on the package and connected hardware, gateway, tag, beacon, and sensor parameters can be managed through the platform, APIs, or MQTT without requiring routine physical access to each device.
Does SOLIX support user and role management?
Yes. SOLIX supports user management for controlling platform access. The current SOLIX product page also provides custom role management, page-level access rights, and multi-role assignments, allowing organizations to control which users can access different areas and functions of the platform.
Can SOLIX work with third-party devices?
Compatibility depends on the BLE devices, tags/beacons, protocol, data format, and required functionalit.
What is the difference between Solix Lite, Standard, and Advanced?
SOLIX Lite is primarily designed to support basic deployment and device management. SOLIX Standard adds full RTLS capabilities, including live maps, heat maps, alerts, user management, historical data, positioning, sensor data, and API integration. SOLIX Professional builds on these capabilities with advanced RTLS features, environmental monitoring and reporting, and support for managing third-party devices. The appropriate edition depends on whether the project requires device management only, complete RTLS deployment, or additional IoT and reporting capabilities.
Is SOLIX suitable for both proof-of-concept and enterprise deployments?
Yes. SOLIX is designed as a modular and scalable platform and can support smaller evaluation or proof-of-concept systems as well as larger RTLS deployments across operational facilities. Its region, zone, mapping, device-management, and deployment capabilities allow the system architecture to expand as project requirements grow.
Can SOLIX support multiple facilities or sites?
Yes. SOLIX is designed to organize devices and operational data across different regions, buildings, floors, and zones. This makes the platform suitable for organizations that want to manage RTLS infrastructure across more than one operational area or facility from a structured platform environment.
Do I have to replace my existing ERP, HIS, BMS, WMS, or security platform to use SOLIX?
No. SOLIX can operate as the location and IoT intelligence layer while exchanging information with existing enterprise applications through supported APIs and integration interfaces. This allows organizations to add real-time location and sensor information to existing workflows rather than building an entirely separate operational process.
Is on-premises deployment available for organizations with strict data requirements?
Yes. In addition to cloud deployment, SOLIX can be installed on-premises, giving organizations greater control over where the platform and operational data are hosted. This option can be considered where internal IT policies, security requirements, or data-ownership requirements favour locally managed infrastructure.
Is SOLIX pricing fixed?
SOLIX pricing is not fixed and depends on the customer’s specific requirements and project scope. Based on the customer’s requirements and solution analysis, the Sentrax pre-sales team prepares and provides a tailored quotation for the proposed SOLIX package and deployment.
How can I request a SOLIX demonstration or quotation?
Organizations can contact the Sentrax team through the SOLIX product enquiry form to discuss their facility, required accuracy, use case, integration requirements, deployment preference, and software package. Sentrax can then recommend the appropriate SOLIX configuration and supporting RTLS hardware for the project.
