Beacons Deployment Guide

1. Pre-Guideline #
- Calculate RSSI at 1 meter for each beacon and configure calibrated RSSI parameter in iBeacon Packet using SDM app
- Measure the room size by width and height in meters
2. Beacon Placement #
- The distance between two beacons determines the accuracy of position
- Avoid placing too close or too far
- Avoid placing it beside another transmitting device such as access-point
Example Deployment #
An example case scenario is displayed to give an idea of deployment for six beacons,
- A simple room of 10m x 10m
- A total of 9 beacons are placed

Note:
The position accuracy depends on the number of beacons placed. The more the number, the better will be accuracy and the cost will increase.
Example Deployment #
In this example, more beacons are placed in the same room which increases position accuracy but also the cost of deployment and maintenance.
- A simple room of 10m x 10m
- Total 16 beacons are placed
